Substitute - Delegation in MSS

Former Member

Hi all,

I'm creating a position substitute for another position, so it can be viewed into infotype 1001 with the relationship A210. Until here, it's ok. But, I have some doubts:

1. If I'm using CATS approval process with OM superior approver, who will receive the approval messages? both?

2. If "yes" to question #1, can I delimite which messages will receive the substitute position?

3. The only consequence is that all the messages will be redirected to the substitute position inbox? or maybe there will be some other consequences?

4. If I create a P or US substitute, where inside OM can I view that relationship?

Thanks!

Miguel Angel.

This can be easily done

Check

Following are the Steps to achieve the above type of substitution

1) Defining the substitution Profile

2) Maintain Task classes

3) Assign Substitution profile to Task classes

4) Assign Task classes to the Task

Spro go to SUbstitution customisation

In a task ie through PFTC when you open it you ll get classification which you have defined as above

Hi Siddharth,

My question is about point #4:

4) Assign Task classes to the Task

When I'm going to PFTC transaction and I type it a task (ie 20000460), where can I see indicated the Task classes assigned to this task?

Thanks!

1. Note down all the workflows you are delaing with

2. Find out the Approval Tasks steps in each of the work flows you are interested in

3. Go into SWDD into the Approval Task

4. Go into Agent Assignment by clicking on the Red Apple like icon

5. Click on Attributes and choose the "Classification"

You might want to take the help of a Workflow developer for this

You will also get an overall idea about each workflow when you look at the workflow design through SWDD

Hi,

Is it workflow/ step specific or task specific. I think it's task specific. So if you change it at the task level it applies to all the steps/ workflows that task is used.

And this is what I don't want to happen. e.g. I'm using SAP standard approval task TS17900100 in different workflows and at different levels of authorizations. I want the task classification to apply to a specific step of a specific workflow. But as I said the task classification happens at task level, I can't achieve what I want to.

Any suggestions/ tricks/ workarounds/ pointers?

Thanks in advance.

Best Regards,

Transaction Code RMPS_SET_SUBSTITUTE updates/inserts values into table HRUS_D2 which drives substitution

There are two categories of substitutes

a. Person related

b. Position related - this is the one you are intersted i suppose

Answer to your Question 1

In each of these you can have Active or passive substitute (view structure of HRUS_D2)

Active substitute will receive tasks right away

Passive substitute on Universal Worklist need to specify View tasks on behalf of

Answer to your Question 2

As to what are all the tasks the substitute will receive, there is something called Task Profile like Absences, Disciplinary, All etc.

If you have set ALL, substitute will receive everything

to view relation ship go to PPOME

but that has nothing to do with HRUS_D2

Hi Sriram,

Thanks for your help! Really, for me the most important questions are 1 & 2

With your answers, I still have some doubts:

You said: "Passive substitute on Universal Worklist need to specify View tasks on behalf of"

Question: What do you mean exactly? I don't understand at all... Do you have any help reference to take a look?

You said: "there is something called Task Profile like Absences, Disciplinary, All etc"

Question: Can I create new Tasks Profiles? And the same that before, do you have any help reference to take a look and learn what each Task Profile (Absences, Disciplinary, ...) means?

Thanks!

For info related to Active and passive substitute refer http://help.sap.com/saphelp_NW70EHP1core/helpdata/en/8d/25f558454311d189430000e829fbbd/frameset.htm

you are better of setting them as active for now

Profiles get set in workflow

SAP standard Workflow for Leave request = WS12300111 Task TS12300097 where the profile gets assigned to Tasks

Table T77RO specifies the assignments

Hi again,

A question... here (http://help.sap.com/saphelp_NW70EHP1core/helpdata/en/8d/25f558454311d189430000e829fbbd/frameset.htm) says:

"You can define additional substitute profiles in Customizing. You specify the task classes for which the substitute profile applies in the substitute profile. You define the assignment of a task to a task class when you create the task."

Where is it? Where I define a task? Also in the customizing?

Thanks!

Miguel Angel.
