Error in workflow : Record has links

Former Member

Hi,

One of the record went into error at last step of workflow (step name :stop where it checks in the record). Now the record is still checked out and when I try to cancel /roll back/delete, every time it shows error "record has links". I have verified many times and there is no link of this record any where.

Can any one help me to get this record out of workflow/checked Out ?

Thanks,

Priya

Hi Priya,

Just check it out with Check In/Out-->Click on All Versions to roll back the record.

Please find similar thread:

Kindly let us know if it helps..

Hi , I have followed below step:

There is a trick using which you can do CheckIn record.

In record mode of MDM Data Manager, right click on the Checkout record >Check In/Out>Click on All Versions.

Now you will be able to see two records for this. Now right click on Member record>Check In/Out>Roll Back.

When I say roll back, it says record is in workflow(On member record)

when I try to say roll back/ check in on original record, the option of checking In/roll back is not available. Also, both original and member record has same workflow job id and workflow for member is in Error.

Also owner of workflow is Admin who has all access

Pls suggest

Hi Priya,

Have you tried using Roll back option using Memeber Record?

Literally this Roll back i was able to do when that record is Checkout by some user using MDM Data Manager not using MDM Workflow. So thats why i asked you to please give it a try if it helps using MDM workflow also.

As this is record in workflow, You can check the Workflow owner by selecting Workflow table as current table in Record mode of MDM Data Manager then close the Data Manager and then login MDM Data Manager using workflow owner user and join checkout and then checkin.

Kindly revert with Result.

Hi Priya,

Are you not able to JoinCheck out and then Check in using Admin User.

In record mode of MDM Data Manager, right click on the Checkout record>Check In/Out>Join Checkout ?

Also check in workflows tab of MDM Data Manager may be this record is still in any workflow job Id and corresponding User task is pending , check the status -->Available. If this workflow is not completed and get struck then it also show record in checkout and after completing the entire workflow it will come to CheckIn.

Kindly revert with Result.

Hi Priya

Are you able to join the checkout process with Admin user login?

You need to join the checkout first before being able to check in.

Hi Ravi,

In my case, Permitted User :Admin and Permitted Role : Admin. I am using MDM 7.1.

Hi Priya

Not sure why is this happening.

Are you using MDM 7.1 sp03 or lower versions?

In 7.1 sp04 many bugs were fixed related to MDM workflow- one of them being MDM Workflow failed on Stop-Check-In due to Validation

I would suggest to upgrade to sp04 or raise an OSS with SAP.

Hi Priya,

Just check whether any of the validation got failure in your master record. If yes then correct record and commit and the commit Workflow Stop Step.
