Where to obtain JCo 3.0.2 or less

I need to downgrade to JCo 3 version 3.0.2 (or before). However, on the service marketplace, I can download only the latest version (3.0.5). How do I obtain previous versions of JCo 3 ? And I'd also need the associated IDOC3 libraries.

Hi Sebastian,

the short answer is: nowhere.

SAP only supports the latest patch level and also offers only the latest patch level for download.

Furthermore there's really no need to get older patch levels unless you're keen on running into already fixed bugs.

So your request sounds a little strange to me.

Hi Stefan,

I have to work with a third party software that somehow relies on a specific feature (a. k. a. bug) of JCo versions before 3.0.3. The vendor will provide a fix very soon, but until then, I would have liked to simply downgrade the JCo.

I can't really believe that SAP always supports only the latest version. In a GMP environment, that would potentially entail either a) a huge testing effort or b) immediate loss of support any time SAP decides to fix some bugs. Is that really so? Could you point me to the relevant passage in the license terms?

Hi Sebastian,

I'm curious. Would you please tell me which specific feature (a.k.a. bug ) this is?

For more information on the JCo 3.0 release and support strategy please see SAP note [1077727|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1077727] (also linked at the download site).

Best Regards,

Stefan
