How to integrate product reviews from SAP Commerce into SAP Marketing

Hi,

We'd like to integrate our product reviews from SAP Commerce (6.6) into SAP Marketing (on Prem 1702).

How can we analyse the reviews in SAP Marketing? Is it possible to integrate them into the sentiment analysis, like social postings or do we need to use interactions?

We need both information from the reviews, evaluation and text comments.

Is there a recommeded way to integrate those reviews from SAP Commerce. In 1702 the product app is not yet available for using product reviews.

Hello Matt,

currently Commerce reviews created in Commerce are supported through the standard Data Hub-based integration.We create interactions with Origin 'Commerce' and type 'SHOP_ITEM_REVIEW' inside Marketing.

For Sentiment Engagement, right now out of the box the application is leveraging posts and comments from Twitter and Fracebook. These interactions are of Origin 'Twitter' or 'FB' and of type 'SOCIAL_POST'.

I am not an expert of Sentiment Engagement app, but technically the reviews from Commerce are available in Marketing. The question is how to get the app to process them.

thanks for your reply.

If we create a new social canal type "ONLINE_SHOP" and a new interaction channel "ONLINE_SHOP" references to the new social canal and then assign the interaction type "SHOP_ITEM_VIEW" with this channel, the Sentiment Engagement App uses this interactions for analyse also.

So I think we can match our interaction from Commerce with these interaction type for sentiment analysis.

Hi jens_matt,

usually you can see the product reviews from the Commerce Shop also in the sentiment analysis app and under the Interactions-tab in the contact profile (with a link to the product in your webshop).

I checked it in the system (SAP Marketing 1709). The data is imported via CUAN_IMPORT_SRV which is also available in 1702. So I think your marketing solution is not the problem.

Actually we are on Commerce 1811, but I could see in the system that there are also entries from 2018 (s. Screenshot), so I think that could have been on Commerce version 6.6. But maybe you have to upgrade at least to 6.7 to have the clickstream data in SAP Marketing.

in standard only integration from SAP JAM Community is given. Please refer to the following blog

If you want to want to integrate product reviews from SAP Commerce, you can apply the standard integration via data hub using the API CUAN_IMPORT.

Alternatively you can use on project level the modern ODATA API_MKT_INTERACTION for integration.
