I want to monitor oracle 12c PDBs with solution manager monitoring (MAI) but don't find any good papers to configure that. There are several notes and papers but I miss a detailed description, which part has to be to do on CBD level ans what on PDB level (user, roles, rights). Maybe the PDB scenario isn't supported for nonABAP/SAP oracle databases?!
Hi Rajesh,
thanks for feedback. I need to monitor a non ABAP oracle 12c database with several PDBs. I want to monitor the typical stuff like oracle processes, messages, tablespace status and fillment and so on, but I haven't found any detailed information how to handle PDBs for solution manager technical monitoring. Means, do I have to set up/configure the PDBs separately like the CDB. What about DBACOCKPIT user and the corresponding roles and other user rights?
Thanks for sending the two links. Very helpful but I'm not sure I can solve my problem with.
Thanks and best regards
Thomas

Hi Thomas,
Could you please provide more details on what you need to monitor in Oracle.
Meanwhile please go through the below link to know how to use Technical Monitoring https://wiki.scn.sap.com/wiki/display/TechOps/System+Monitoring+7.2+-+Setup+and+Configuration
For setting up Oracle related Metrics check under the Database Templates, in the Solution Manager system.
If your objective is to monitor Oracle Table Space, you may look into the following link https://wiki.scn.sap.com/wiki/display/TechOps/System+Monitoring+7.2+-+Advanced+Monitoring#SystemMoni...
Regards,
Rajesh Kumar
