COKEY and COSP table maintainance from which transaction in ECC

Hi,

We have an ongoing report in bw which is pulling data from "0CO_PC_01" data source which uses COSP and COKEY tables to get Material number (Consumption Material) for production order. Now, we got an issue where one production order is having two line items that are having two different account, now for one account in that production order the above data source is pulling material but for another it is not.

We found that for second account there is no SUBKEY (COKEY) in COSP table which is why fm is not pulling material for it.

Now, here FI-CO team is not able to find how to maintain COSP and COKEY (it is standard maintenance issue), so need your guidance to know from where we maintain subkey (tech name-cokey) in COSP and with reference to sub key, material in COKEY (table name is same as a field name in cosp).

Please guide, it has became urgent.

Hi,

COSP is a totals table and is not maintained directly. As for COKEY, I'm already aware of glitches in its content, where the key is not generated automatically, where it should have been. First of all, I'd recommend you to check for relevant notes, as there are some corrections SAP put in place for this table, e.g. 1519501 - Incorrect entries in tables COKEY2 and COKEY

When I encountered a similar problem, I maintained an entry in COKEY manually using the next available number for the relevant parameter.

Regards,
Eli

Hi Eli,

Thanks for your reply.

It looks like there are glitches in cokey generation in cosp as it is happening in many production orders.

There are other POs which are not having cokey for one of the line-items but having for other. FI-CO team saying this cokey comes from MM side and they do the account assignment with material through cokey.

Here in our project, we cannot update any entry in a table, so the only option that appear to us is to make a call to SAP.

Please suggest.

Thanks,

Ankit

If you have constant bugs with update of COKEY (which, again, I'm not too surprised, if your release doesn't include the relevant notes), then you could either analyse the existing notes on your own, or open a ticket to SAP in a view that they will suggest you the most relevant ones.
