Hello,
I have recently installed pre-calculation server on our landscape.
I was working fine and services was showing active after configured multi instance configuration.
But the strange thing is that server is suddenly shown offline.
So I have again create pre-calculation server configuration and test it but result is same.
uninstall and reinstall does not help me out.
I have followed below process but no luck.
---------------------------------------------------------------
Go to Start->Run->Services.msc and look for the "SAP BW Precalculation Service" service entry.Right click and Stop the service.
Go to RSPRECADMIN tcode and check whether the installed Precalculation server shows Offline(Read signal). Now Restart the "SAP BW Precalculation Service" under services.msc.
Go to RSPRECADMIN tcode and check for the Precalculation server. It will show Ready(Green signal)
----------------------------------------------------------------
Error
WSAEADDRINUSE: Address is already in USECOUNTER
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
your response is appreciated.
Thanks

Hi Karl-Heinz,
Thanks for your valuable response but there is no process in task manager.
I have rebooted the server 3 to 4 times but still I am unable to create precalculation server
Anything needs to be done here
Thanks in Advanced

Hello Hemant,
another process uses the socket, therefore the error "WSAEADDRINUSE: Address is already in use".
Look for another (or the same process, maybe hanging in Task Manager) which uses the IP/socket. The command "netstat -anob" can be useful. The option "-b" (as binary) shows you the executables which use which socket and IP.
Another reboot of the OS would also fix this problem - most likely. However you should find the reason first, which process keeps the address in use, because this can happen any time again.
Best regards,
Kalle
