Error Open ODS View in Composite Provider

Hello Experts,

I am running into an issue while activating Composite Provider which is created by joining BW cube and Open ODS View.

Open ODS View is created on HANA View via DB connect as connection. My HANA Box and BW on HANA are on two different HANA Databases so using DB connect to connect them. I can see data in Open ODS View from HANA View in BW system.

When I join this Open ODS view in cube with Left outer on cube then I am getting below error.

“ infoprovider not allowed in composite provider” no further information is available in error in system.

However, If I Union them then I am able to activate Composite Provider having this Open ODS View and Cube.

System Versios:

SAP BW = 7.4, SP 17

HANA 1.0 SP12

Hello,

Seems like this is because CalScenario Used Opton in ODS is set to No. Does this mean that If ODS View is consuming HANA View via DB Connect as connection between BWoHANA and Native HANA systems it can't be added joined in Composite Provider?

Thanks for the information. I has look on these Notes. We are already on BW 7.4 SP17

SAP_BW 740 0017 SAPKW74017 SAP Business Warehouse . In Note 2146217 its mentioned to

Import Support Package 12 for SAP BW 7.40 (SAPKW74012) into BW system.

What the note 2473887 mention is that it is mandatory to have the "calScenario use" set to yes as you already guess.
