"Run Now" on Crystal Report on Business Objects Server will not email PDF of the Report

I have configured the Business Objects BI Server's (4.2 SP 2 Trial) Adaptive Job Server with an email destination. We have an internal email server.

After configuring the report destination to "Email", I choose to "Run Now". The history of the report shows "Success" and the "Instance Details" show the email destination.

However, the report is not sent to the email address. However, right-clicking on the instance of the report, and choosing Send->Email does send the report to email address specified in the reports definition.

Looking in the logs, the Adaptive Job Server "Destinations" process is not called when choosing "Run Now" but does start when I choose "Send->Email".

Is there something I am missing?

Please verify whether you have done all the destination setup when schedule for run now.

You'd want to test the email destination for that specified SMTP server and port using telnet in CMD (Windows) or in xterm (UNIX) from BO server to verify the firewall port is opened and the SMTP server is responding.

The AdaptiveJobServer does not wait for the confirmation of the SMTP transmission; it simply sends out the email to SMTP server via the port specified in the email destination in AdaptiveJobServer and mark the job is completed success.
