FB05 - Line Item text Not populating

Hi Team,

FB05 - Line Item text (SGTXT) is not getting populating when I go to menu -> settings -> Line layout in transaction code FB05.

I have googled and find the solution (O7F1). however, the desired field (SGTXT) is already added in this transaction.

even, the issue is not cleared.

Please help me out. Its bit urgent.

In the screen where you have the customer open items - check for the small icon on the right corner - just above the first line item - ont he extreme right hand side. Click.

Then click on the administrator, scroll down to field "text", remove the tick from "invisible" checkbox.

Save and navigate back - the text field will be visible now.

Hi Experts,

I can add TEXT field to existing line layout through path FB05 - Menu - settings - change line layout - choose existing line variant - make changes. This is what not our requirement.

But we want New Line layout to be created which has to be available in line layouts. So business will use this variant when ever required.

Please help me out in this..

Hi

When you choose Line Layout -

If Text column is missing - Check in O7Z2 whether text is available in Line layout you have chosen

If Text column available but Value not filled, then you need to check whether your items has Text filled or not

Either way I don't see O7F1 has anything to do with your issue

Thanks for your quick response.

When I choose line layouts in FB05, the field "TEXT-SGTXT" is not activated for any layout.

As you suggested, when I go to transaction O7Z2, there is only one variant (JVA) which is not consist of desired filed and also this variant (JVA) is not at all populating in FB05 when i choose line layouts.

however, i can add desired field "TEXT" when i click on change layout for any layout (example - A1) available in transaction level (FB05).

So, making changes in transaction level (as said above), we can't move changes to production right.
