Why Multiple Retained Earning Accounts if we have multiple Ledger for Local Reporting

Hi Everyone,

When we are in HANA 1709 with multiple Ledger active for different reporting requirement.

I am not exactly getting the use of creating more than one Retain Earning Accounts and assigning to P/L Account.

Can anyone of you help me to undertsnad the logic behind it.
