Cannot change user accounts

Former Member

Hello,

I have a situation where as portal administrator I can change the details on some user accounts via the 'user administration' tab (eg. new password) but not others. It won't let me delete these accounts either and recreate them, but it will let me copy them, so it appears somehow these account records are readable but not updatable. Any idea's as to what is wrong and how I can fix it ?

Thanks,

Phil.

Hi Phil,

The user account(s) that you are trying to modify/delete are local to Portal (UME Datasource) or from LDAP Datasource?

Check the config "Read-Only or Writable" if its from LDAP!

And what is the exception you found during these actions, can u paste the them along with log data?

Thanks,

Munna,

The users are from UME. The messages I get look to be just standard; when I try to reset the password I get 'Could not reset password' and when I try to update the name or email I get 'Unknown message (ID = USERACCOUNT_UPDATE_FAILED)'. I will try and get the logs.

Thanks for your help,

Phil.

Phil,

Is it a standard or custom role.

go to user admin and check the actions for that role and make sure UME.all is there
