All B1 Add-Ons are timing out - what underlying reason could cause this

We are currently running SAP B1 2007 PL with a couple of add ons including intrastat, fixed asset and xlreport

For some reason SAP B1 will load ok but all the add on fail with a message "add-on connection timeout failed"

I have checked all the services - they appear to be ok.

I have checked the DI API version which is PL49

I have removed and reinstalled the add ins for add in manager.

Not having the machine connected to our network as it is a test machine - could this have an impact on things not working correctly ? They did work before off the network and on but someone suggest there could be network issues with services ?

any thought would be appreciated

Hi Paul,

There are many reasons could be behind this problem. You need to troubleshoot starting from B1 server.

Hi Gordan,

I have removed all traces of SAP and begun by reinstalling the server modules. The one thing I do notice is not starting by itself anymore it the B1 License Server when the server starts up even though the check box is there for automatically start. I then reloaded the client on the server and although I can log inot the client. The minute I try to load any of the add on I just get an egg timer and a message failed to load add-on

How or where could I find logs that might indicate why the add-ons are not starting or even trying to install.

Actually, removed all traces of SAP is not an easy job. You have to make sure you did removed all traces already. It is easy to tell because the auto start has to be working.
