Hello Experts,

What is the use of field Interests and tags while creating campaign? How to use these fields for segmentation purpose? I have created a campaign and assign the interests and tags to it. i ran the campaign and completes it.

Can we segment the campaign based on the interests assigned to it? Which segmentation profile we should go for in standard? Which field i should be using?

Thanks,

Hi Christof,

we too had the requirement to segment and report on the item of interests maintained on campaign level. In the Standard this is not possible.
With SAP Marketing onPremise we created additional HANA-Views and CDS-Views to fullfill the requirement.
But in SAP Marketing Cloud it seems that it is not possible because we can not create a custom HANA-View based on the required table CUAND_IN_IOI. This table is not available for creating custom views.

Hello kevin.wang9, Hello hakan.kose,

do you know if it is possible to report the maintained "Item of Interests" field on the campaign, in the analytics and report gallery?

Hello Mayank,

As far as I know, the interests field in campaign UI will not reflected for campaign execution process.

For "Interest" function, normally, if you maintain an interest in email content at a link and the recipient clicks the link, the created interaction will have the corresponding interest.

The contacts can be selected as a TG in Profile Dashboard. Please check following document for details:

Hi Mayank Agarwal,

As per my knowledge, interests and tags for campaigns are just for categorizing and reporting purposes. They should have no impact on execution scenarios.

I don't check out-of-box segmentation profiles in SAP Marketing Cloud myself for campaigns specially, however I highly doubt they contain that information in this depth about campaigns.

If this kind information doesn't exist in them, you can think of creating data sources out of tables HPA_D_INI_TAG (for tags) and CUAND_INI_IOI (for item of interests)

Kind Regards,

Hakan
