Recording in/out time without integration to payroll

Dear Experts,

I would like to know how to implement TM using time devices integrated with SAP HR Time Management but without integration to Payroll. This is a requirment for a client in Saudi Arabia.

We currently use planned working hrs and any deviation are recorded in Absences, etc.

Now the requirement is to use the time devices such that the time sheet be extracted, yet it is not to be integrated with Payroll

What Time Management status do we use in IT 0007 ?

And how can I extract all the time related info and its respective reports without integration with payroll.

I would appreciate if anyone could help me with this...

Regards,

Humaira

Hi,

Thats maintaining time without integrating to payroll.

How can i can process all the in and out timings from a time device, of an employee to see how many hrs hes worked.

The current requirement is just to pull the data in TM Management and generate the attendence / absense reports.

None of this is to be integrated with Payroll....for payroll we just record deviations for the current process

Im new to Time Management so ur help in the matter would really be appreciated.

Hi Humaira,

There could be many way through which you can achieve what you have mentioned. CATS is one of them. Following is the menu path in SPRO:

SAP Customizing Implementation Guide > Cross-Application Components > Time Sheet

The other solution:

Perhaps you know that the biometric systems usually store time data into their own database. You can ask the ABAPER to write a BDC to read the data from that external source and populate that data into 2011 infotype.

Later on this data can be extracted either using standard report (I don't know whether it is available or not) or infoset query.

Hi Waqas,

Thanx for the reply.

After populating the IT 2011, can i see the screen with the employees time in and out and number of hrs worked? Or a report needs to be customized to see this data?

IT 0050 also needs to be set to populate this info for all the employees.

So which of the methods that u mentioned is more feasible?

hi

u can go with bdc upload of time data for the infotypes 0050 and 2011, there are few standard reports like Tcode PT61 to access time sheets or u can approach a abaper to design a customized report for time sheet.
