Perform Solman Activities!!

Hi Experts,

We have installed Solman in our landscape but due to some problem we have not done OSS connection.We want to configure MOPZ & the roadmap for Implementation.We want to implement Service desk also.What are the solman activities we can perform without oss connection??

hI,

You can configure Servicedesk without OSS Connection. Implementation tools you can use without OSS Connection.

Run Initial and Basic configuration (assuming you are in EhP1) before you start configuring the features.

Hi,

If you don't have OSS connection then service desk functionality will also be limited like you cannot transfer messaged from solman service desk to SAP directly.

Hi,

Technically OSS Connection is not a pre-requisite for configuring Servicedesk. Not all Support Messages are to be sent to SAP.

The inference is obvious that without connection to OSS We cannot send message to SAP. Moreover, it doesn't involve any configuration activities to be performed.

reproducing that here again,

You can configure Servicedesk without OSS Connection. Implementation tools you can use without OSS Connection.
