Hi Pratibha,

Once the master data match up is done you will require to do Edit phrase set to attribute assignments activity. Tcode for the same is CGAB.

This function activates all fields that are available for assigning phrase sets.

This step is required only when the phrase enabled values to be used for Value assignment type.

Hello Pratibha,

Please go to the following path:

spro>EH&S>IH&S>Basic settings>Assign value assignment types to classes

Here create new entry for new value assignment type which will correspond to the new tab.

Select "Value Assignment category" as "IHS" and put the created class in "class" field.

Also, select "Object type asssignment" as "IAL".

Furthermore, for you to create fields in this tab and populate values, you need to create

characteristics with allowed values and assign it to the class.

Then, do master data match up in "CGCZ" with "Match up val assgn type & char" checkbox activated.

Hello,

I hope the class has status released and its validity has been maintained correctly.

Also check Under IMG activity Assign value assignment types to classes, is there any vlaue maintained for Exclude for Object subtypes for your Value assignemtn type (Class). This will restrict the class to be displyed for particular Log entry type in CBIH82.

Hi Niraj,

I think you are right . while saving in 'exclude for object sub type' it is giving an error message 'Entry z_test does not exist in CCIHC_IHOBJ (check entry). Here z_test is the class name. Please provide me the soluation.

thanks.

Hello,

Do not make any entry in exclude for object sub type.

As I have said earlier this will restrict your class to be displyed in that particular Sub object.

Have you maintained the Object type IAL for your value assignment type to which your class Z_Test is assigned?

From the error what you have mentioned I can interpret is that the Object IAL is not maintained for your Value Assignment type.

Niraj

Hi

Can you please update about what was the root cause of the problem, so that it will be useful for others when they will face the similar problem?

yes sure,

I got to 'value Assignment types' where i entired the class name. But i did not put an entry in 'object type assignment'. so the tab was not showing in transaction code CBIH82. So i made the entry there as 'IAL' and now it is working fine.

But one thing i need to know. for example i have two incident categories 1. motor vehicle crash. 2 environmental category.

so for environmental categories i need to show only those tab related to the particular categories not the tab of motor vehicle crash. how shal i do that.please provide me the soluation.

thanks.

Hello Pratibha,

For individual "value assignment type-object type assignment" , maintain "exclude for object subtypes" for which create new entries of the incident categories.

That way you can restrict the tab against the selection of the mentioned incident categories.

Hello Pratibha,

Thanks for update.

To be able to restrict the tab pages to be visible for particular category you use Exclude for object subtypes.

Say for example you do not wish to display Z_Test tab for Motor vehical crash category, in this case select the Vaule assignment type to which class Z_test is assigned, and go to Exclude for Object subtypes and enter Motor vehical Crash category here. So you will not be able to see Z_Test tab for Motor vehical crash category.

Hope this will help you.

Niraj
