I am new in the world of SAP. I want to create a new employee group and emp sub group.

any body can tell me the step of configuration of new employee group and sub group.

Hi,

Go to following menu path in tcode SPRO to create employee group and employee subgroup:

Enterprise Structure > Definition > Human Resources Management

There you will find employee group and employee subgroup activities.

For linking employee subgroup to employee group use following menu path:

Enterprise Structure > Assignment > Human Resources Management > Assign employee subgroup to employee group

Hi,

Employee groups and subgroup are maintained in infotype 0001.

Can be used as a selection criteria in reporting.

Can be used to group employees for certin configuration in SPRO.

Can also be used in authorization.

You can use the menu path mentioned earlier to configure employee groups and subgroups.

1- create employee group

Enterprise Structure > Definition > Human Resources Management > Employee Groups

2- create employee sub group

Enterprise Structure > Definition > Human Resources Management > Employee Subgroups

3 - assign employee subgroup to employee group

Enterprise Structure > Assignment > Human Resources Management > Assign employee subgroup to employee group

If you open these activities, you will find it very simple to configure.
