SAP NW CE 7.2 AAS Installation error

Hi gurus,

I have installed SAP NW SAP CE 7.2 on AIX DB29.7 UDB and now trying to install Additional Application Server on a Different Host with same AIX and DB29.7 UDB.

The SAPinst Stops with error at Install Instance BASICS of J00

The JAVABOOTSTRAP shows this error_

Starting to synchronize native files

Thread [Watchdog for main] initiated a full thread dump on [Tue May 25 05:10:12 GMT 2010] due to: [Watchdog timeout]

Exception occurred for component [internal/unkown] of type [unkown]

com.sap.engine.bootstrap.SynchronizationException: No progress was recorded since [ Tue May 25 05:08:43 GMT 2010]. Check the database and file system state. If you are using MAXDB ensure that the log and data volumes are not full

at com.sap.engine.bootstrap.Bootstrap.timeout(Bootstrap.java:313)

at com.sap.engine.lib.time.Watchdog.run(Watchdog.java:95)

[Bootstrap]> Watchdog timeout

The devjstart shows this error_

• ERROR => Node 'bootstrap' failed with exit code 556.

Wow. Thanks a lot. The SCN thread helped to resolve the error in step "Install Java Engine" in downtime phase of SAP SRM 702 Java installation.

Hi,

I have stopped and started DB and Primary Apps and gave Retry for SAPINST but the error was same. I could not find the any error in default .trc. But the dev_bootstrap gives this error which i have pasted on the first thread.

ERROR => Node 'bootstrap' failed with exit code 556.

Yes, that shows a binary sync problem - how about these files:

dev_jstart*

std_bootstrap.*

jvm_bootstrap.*

log_bootstrap.*

Any relevant entries here?

The DB and Primary JAVA Application Server are running fine. I am able to login to the instance and portal.

What does the "default.trc" say? Any errors? Also, what does the dev_* traces say?

Also, try to shutdown the Apps & Db manually once & re-start SAPINST.

Hi,

Is your DB2 UDB database & Primary application server started? If not, try to start it manually & see the error logs in "default.trc" & the dev trace files.
