What s the purpose of configuring Time management without Time evaluation
Any one plz guide

To maintain IT0007 we need to configure Time Mgt it is a compulsary activity in SAP HR because Time Mgt and Payroll these both sub modules are integrated. as well as in negative Time management we are confuguring som Time Quotas as well as Abscenties.

main reasons would be to maintain work schedules, record absences entitlements, absences, illnesses and to report on these.

By negative time management I believe you only enter absenses and attendances if they deviate right?
See if your EE's pay is to be dependent on the time he has worked then you have to run TE
Eg. If hourly paid employee then hours do matter
IF salaried then average working time matters
Depending on this you can create Time Wage types and also maitain time accounts
Also, quotas are handled in TE
TE can also be done in PY using XT00 subschema which then calls TC00 schema using DAYPR function.
This will help you create Time wage types only. Here in PY you cannot work with Time accounts like quotas
So its a compulsory to run time evaluation and update the time quotas
is there any other purpose behind Time evaluations other than time quota updation?
To answer your above question. It is partly correct that we run TE for Time quota updation but you can also show Time Statements, process errors related to time evaluation, create time wage types etc

Here we will consider only overtime and absence , there is no hourly rate, (this is for middle east client)
(Hourly rate will consider only for overtime hrs- (Basic 1.5 x no of hrs )
question 1 .So do we need to go for time evaluation or is there any other easy way?

1. You create absense quotas and then absenses are deducted from these quotas. These quotas can be created either every month or year using RPTQTA00 report after necessary configuration setting.
2. Your overtime can be configured in IT 2010 - EE remuneration infotype. You can configure a wage type which will be 150% of your basic wage type. So in IT 2010 you will only enter the number of overtime hours. This will be taken care of in payroll
I dont think that you will need to create any Time wage types.

Also in negative time , we just maintain only absence, if we we are not maintaining absence system will consider as present other than holidays we mentioned in Holiday calender
So do we need to maintain attendance again, kindly clarify ?
No need to maitain attendances in negative time. Attendances will be calculated as per the planned working time.
