Hi,

Dynamic properties are not maintained in BPC back end(BI) as an attribute of master data infoobject.

Thats why Dynamic properties like HLEVEL and PARENTHn will not be supported in Dimension filter.

Hope it helps...

Hi,

You can maintain a new prperty to get Hierarchy level in dimension filter. But, if you have very big hierarchy(more number of levles) then its not so easy to maintain HELEVEL values under new property.

If you want to filter at report level(EVDre) then you can use Member set options as explained in following documentation.

eg:

Member options : SELF,BAS AND HLEVEL="2"

I'm going to be more precise in the question.

I'd like to use HLEVEL property in EVCVW. For example if i want to see for the selection only members of third level i'd put in EVCVW (...,...,"HLEVEL=3"). But it compares that HLEVEL=3 does not exist. In this case how can i do for seeing in the selection only the third level members?

Hi,

EVCVW is used to get the members from the current view. You cannot use this function to fetch members based on some condition. For your purpose, you can use HLEVEL = 3 in the member options. This will fetch only those members which are at the 3rd level.

Hope this helps.

Hi,

If this is your requirement then, I think you have to maintain a custom hierarchy level property.

In EvCVW(AppName,Dimension,FilterList) - As explained earlier we can not user dyanamic property in Filter list.

I know that function is used for taking members from current view but i have to put in AppName,Dimension and FilterList. I'm thinking that this last can be used for filtering; in my example it should get only 3rd level members if i put in HLEVEL=3. Am I completely wrong?
