Hello Hiten,

There is no technical issue in installing multiple SAP systems on one physical server, providing the physical server has sufficient resources in terms of memory, hard disk, cpu, etc to run the application systems as required.

You have said that you want to place it on a system that currently runs your Development ECC system. Is this Solution Manager

system going to be a development system too, or used as the productions Solution Manager system? Are you going to be implementing Charm and Service Desk, because these features of Solutioon Manager produce a heavier load on the system, and would demand more resources. But if you just wanted to produce EWA reports and use MOPZ for instance then a minimum specification would suffice. SO use of systems needs to be considered too.

You can get some basic guidelines in the installation guides http://service.sap.com/instguides, and if you need more detailed information perhaps you might want to visit http://service.sap.com/sizing.

Hope this is the kind of information you were seeking. Without detailed specifications of the server, I think people can only generalize their response. Maybe if you need more specific information you can detail your server specifications.

Hope tis information was helpful.

Regards,

Paul

it's not a good idea. Because the workload of the production system will be very high.

Hi Hiten,

If you have sufficient H/W resources avilable on DEV server then you can go for multiple instances on the same host, please go thru the below link if you are DB is Oracle.

Please update the status

HI HIten,

Technically its very much possible as each system will have different SID and system number.

The only thing you need to take care is system resources(Process/memory/HDD) etc .

It might affect performance of DEV server, that you need to take care, any how from technical point of view its very much possible.
