MIME type for Auto CAD file type

Hi Friends,

I am using redlining fucntionality. When I am doing PDF work application I could able to do Viewer/ Navigation / Tools / Layers tabs. Where as when I am doing for Auto CAD work application I get only wer/ Navigation tabs only.

When I check I found that in MIME field for PDF it was "application/pdf" , where as for Auto CAD "application/pdf". Shall I know what exactly need to be entered here. Where can I get list of MIME type to be entered for each work application.

All other fileds including " Define workstation application in network " are same for both work applications.

Hi Sai,

in dc30,

create workstation application : ACD

file suffix : dwg

file format : .dwg,.dxf,*.acd

mime tye : image/vnd.dwg ,image/vnd.dxf

and save

now ,

select ACD and double click on define workstation application in network,

PC ACD 1 Autocad EAIWeb.webviewer2D.1 %SAP-CONTROL%

PC ACD 2 Autocad %auto%

PC ACD 3 Autocad %auto%

Thanks for ur inputs.

I put value "application/acad" and " image/vnd.dwg ,image/vnd.dxf" in MIME field. It is working for me.

I entered define workstation application in network,

PC ACD 1 Autocad EAIWeb.webviewer2D.1 %SAP-CONTROL%

PC ACD 2 Autocad EAIWeb.webviewer2D.1 %SAP-CONTROL%

PC ACD 3 Autocad EAIWeb.webviewer2D.1 %SAP-CONTROL%

Shall I know what is the difference between "application/acad" and " image/vnd.dwg ,image/vnd.dxf" for MIME field.

From where shall I get the list of MIME to be entered for different work station application.

Hi,

The MIME type application/acad is used to indicate the presence of an AutoCAD Drawing database file and the encoding required for it. This MIME type belongs to the "application" category.

Hi Krishna,

Could you confirm if the Document Type in which the AutoCAD files have been checked in have 'kPro' defined as the storage location? Because redlining function will be available only if your files are cecked in 'kPro' storage category.

MIME type for autocad files is "application/acad"
