The entries for the "ID Number" field in FTR_Create for securities ( or transaction TS01) are created using transaction FWZZ ( SAP User menu path Accounting -> Financial Supply Chain Management -> Treasury and Risk Management -> Transaction Manager -> Securities -> Master Data -> FWZZ - Class.

Hi,

You have To create CLASS ID through FWZZ based on product type but before that you can create number ranges based on require ment internal are external . once its finished basic setings you can start to create CLASS ID through FWZZ.

Hi Sriram,

you can define at Customizing (SPRO -> ...->TRM -> Transaction Manager -> Securities -> Master data -> Product types -> Define Product type -> look there for respective field) what numbering you use: internal or external (e.g. ISIN - International Securities Identifying Number - code). I would say this decision mostly depends on the Securities market, you Customer is involved to: if the Securities traded can be mapped uniquelly using ISIN code, then it makes life easier to use the same code for ID of representative security in the system. In my opinion, major advantage of using ISIN code is that it is uniquely identifies a security [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/International_Securities_Identification_Number].

Then, at definition of Master data of Securities (system transaction FWZZ ), in the respective field 'ID number' you use that external code, as well the same ID number is used while creating exact Securities deal/ transaction (system transaction FTR_CREATE ).

Other scenario with internal code is also possible, however then there is a need of mapping between external numbering used in the market and internal ID, specific in the system.

Hope this will help you.

Rgds,

Renatas
