Is it posible to do quality inspection9Receiving in quality stk) for items which are created with text.

Hi,

If material code is not there, then what are you going to check, or which quantity are you going to put in quality stock type.

Because when you create PO without material code, it is subject to get consumed immediately to cost center when GRN happens, so I think your requirement may not get fulfil in std. SAP

Item text materials without material numbers are always charged of i.e. they always have accounts assignment with them,

so stock type cannot be maintained for such items.

Yes, if materials bearing material numbers can have stock type as quality inspection, blocked stock and unrestricted stock type.

Hi,

What vinay says is correct. Though you can specify that the material should be posted to QI at the time of creating PO or GR, you can't track the material further since it will be already considered consumed.

Do you mean to post to QI when receiving the materials without material master(with mat short text)..

then it is possible when

1) creating the PO

2) when doing GR
