RMA process

I am experiencing an error when trying to repack an SFC that was returned on an RMA.

The current process that is being used:

Return SFC to production floor

Using a special operation the SFC is placed back on a routing. (RMA ROUTER)

The SFC will follow this router to be reprogrammed and tested again.

When the SFC reaches packout the system will error because the SFC was never unpacked from the orignial container.

Is there a way to unpack an sfc and have placed inqueue on the RMA ROUTER?

Generally for RMA process it is advicible to use the autogenerated RMA number and new SFC numbers as if we use the same SFC number it gives error in packing stage.

We have faced this issue for RMA handling for quet long later the we came to 2 solutions:

If the client agrees use separate SFC numbers for these RMA.

else

We the UNPACK operation should be part of Router 1st or 2nd step on router. This will include opening the old container and removing the SFC from it. if in container maintainance Min and maximun quantity is defined as same then the contaibner will remain open but if you want to close the container again then define Min Quantity as 1.

Hope my information will be useful.

Bradley,

If you know that SFC is packed when it gets returned, why don't you unpack it? Or does it mean that some SFC may be packed but other SFC may have not been packed at production router?

If your usual RMA process requires unpacking, I expect Unpack to be as a step on RMA router.
