Hi friends,

I would like to understand the behaviour of Minimum lot size in Quota arrangement while MRP run using quota arrangement split quantity.

Example scenario

Supplier1 - 60% - 70

Supplier2- 30% - 40

Supplier3 - 10% - 20

Total quantity required is 100. In this scenario which are the suppliers selected and what are the quantities. Assuming 70,40,20 above are Min lot size.

Any link to standard SAP functionality will help us.

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

AK

Hi AK,

Please find the relevant SAP HELP URL:

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp60_sp/helpdata/en/f4/7d3f9344af11d182b40000e829fbfe/frameset.htm

In your situation results, I think may come out as below:

Vendor Quota Minimum Lot size Allocated quantity

Vendor A 60% 70 70

Vendor B 30% 40 0

Vendor C 10% 20 30

Hi,

Thanks for the reponse. But your expected output is wrong.

Vendor Quota Minimum Lot size Allocated quantity

Vendor A 60% 70 70

Vendor B 30% 40 40

Vendor C 10% 20 0

If the required quantity is less than the Min lot size, then the PR will be created with Min. Lot size. Hence for Vendor B quantity 40 is considered

Hi,

I understood that avaialble quantity is only 100 for allocation. My calcultation was for for 100 quantity and not for 110.

When you have only 100, quantity, then vendor A will get 70 and Vendor C 30.

However if availble quantity for allocation is 110 then With vendor A > 70 and vendor B > 40, the total quantity becomes 110, Regards

Hi,

Eventhough the required quantity is 100, the total quantity of PRs will become 110. For Vendor B since the Min Lot size is 40, PR will be created with 40. And the total PR quantity will become 110. This is the standard functionality. We tested it.
