dear colleague,

could you tell me the transaction code in which you receive the error?

THis error should occur when you are in PP-SOP or LO-LIS-PLN and you don´t have the characteristics updated in the planning hierarchy in MC62. In this case you have to update the hierachy with the combination of values that you want to plan later.

If you receive the error when you are checking the availability, it could be caused becuase you work with product allcation .

ATP agains PIRs of an infostructure that doesn´t have the mentioned characteristic.

Coudl you detail which is your situation to continue with the investigation?

thanks and best regards.

Hi Maria,

The user is trying to confirm the Service order item in VA02

I have gone and looked in MC62 and that material is assigned there. How do I make the checks in MC62 if the char value is there or not ....Please let me know

They are using the product allocation group also .

can you please elaborately let me know how do I check and conclude what and where to update the char values in the Info structure. Please let me know both the above cases.

Your inputs would be very very useful to me

Thanks,

SS

Dear colleague,

sorry for the delay,

please check if your hierarchy is consitent with the following tools:

In note 94241 to maintain consistent planning hierarchy.

Please check also the note 368252.

Also check in the SXYZE (XYZ is your infostrucutre)

- When planning characteristic combinations, please ensure the planning

indicator PLTKZ is set to X.

I hope this helps.

best regards,

maria

SS,

Planning hierarchy basically would have multiple level. If you go to MC62 and after providing the infostructure used in your company you would find the various characteristics which needs to be maintained.

You need check from the sales order the various combination used/derived and then cross check with the planning hierarchy whether its maintained. I am sure some characteristics currently used in the sales order is not yet maintained, please maintain the same using MC62. if this is already done, refer to the note mentioned by our friend in the previous post to correct inconsistency.

Hi Maria,

I did not understand this concept of SXYZE

In which table do we check for PLTKZ and where do we see the planning hierarchy. In MC62, I am seeing the char / plant/ Info structure combinations but no Hierarchy

I am maintaining a single response chain but all the helpful answers from all would be rewarded

So please do not mind if I am not responding to all the people coming forward to share their valuable opinions

Thanks,

Hi,

I understand SXYZE is a table....Ok and PLTKZ is the planning indicator. My material does not exist in the table and so has no planning indicator set

I doubt If I am looking at the wrong Info structure. Can you please let me know , by looking at the sales order line items, how do I conclude which Info structure is associated with it. Earlier, I saw PIR's for that material and in MD63, I could make out the associated Info structure. But now there is a different material for which there is no PIR. How do I figure out now

Thanks,

SS
