Hi,

Bear in mind that you must decide between Former Budgeting or BCS. You can not use both of them in the same item, but at least one.

You mentioned the following menu:

Public Sector Management --> Funds Management Government --> Budget Control System (BCS) --> Budgeting --> Basic Settings --> Use of Master Data --> Activate Account Assignment Elements in Budgeting.

This menu belongs to BCS functionality.

But in your last answer you mentioned transaction that starts with FR*, which belongs to Former Budgeting.

Transaction for budgeting in BCS is only one where you have all the functionalities in the same transaction, transaction FMBB.

I hope that this answer your inquiry.

Best Regards,

Vanessa.

I am using former budgeting. In SAP Menu, FR50 is used for creating budget and FR51 is used for releasing budget.

Also i have created two comitmment items (one will be used for giving budget and another without budget)

One CI i will use for all transactions where no budget is required and other i will use only for non account assigned PO where i need budgeting for steel purchase.

So, what is the question? Also, bear in mind, that former budgeting is no longer supported by SAP and if you just activated FM, it's strictly recommended that you will use BCS.

Hi,

Please, distinguish between budget check and requirement to provide FM assignment (commitment item, fund centre, etc.). If FM is active, you have to provide FM assignment for all relevant transactions. You can do it automatically using FMDERIVE strategies or linking master data to FM objects, e.g. G/L linked to commitment item.

If you don't want the budget to be checked on certain transactions, this can be achieved in different ways:

a) defining commitment item as statistical

b) defining certain value types as non-relevant for AVC

c) defining different tolerance profiles and strategy for it

d) modifying update profile in FM

Eli

Thanks Eli.

I want budget check for non assigned PO. So i am using FM.

I want that this comittment item should not stop posting other transactions. So i have this requirement.

Even if i put comittment in GL account. It will stop posting transaction since i need to give fund and fund center. So is it any way where i can make optional.

In following path, its mandatory for fund and fund center . Its not allowing me to make it optional

Public Sector Management --> Funds Management Government --> Budget Control System (BCS) --> Budgeting --> Basic Settings --> Use of Master Data --> Activate Account Assignment Elements in Budgeting.

Please let me know how to make it optional

Hi,

Fund can be optional (IMG - Public Sector Management - Basic Settings - Allow BLANK as Value for Account Assignment Elements); fund centre is always mandatory.

Eli

Hi,

Bear in mind that the minimum account assignment that must be provided in case of FM, is funds center and commitment item, this is required for postings, budget, avc and so on.

Funds center can be a combination of cost centers that you should have filled in your PO.

To be able to derive automatically funds center from the cost center, use FMDERIVE transaction creating a derivation rule that connects cost centers to the funds centers.

The FM derivation tool can only be used for deriving Funds Management account assignments. Additional information is

available in note 881202.

I suggest you to read also the documentation available in the following menu:

SPRO -> Public Sector Management -> Funds Management Government -> Prepare Funds Management Installation

It is only a text document but with links and with all the necessary instructions to start FM in your company.

I hope that this helps you.

Best Regards,

Vanessa.

In FR61, there are following fields which i want to know:

Check Total (no F1 help)

DK - Distribution (what is use of distribution). By default it takes 0 ie manual distribution. In example given:

The entry value is interpreted as a percentage rate and multiplied each period by the previous value.

For example, entry value 50 (%)

Period Value before Value after

1 1000 500

2 2000 1000

3 3000 1500

4 4000 2000

-

-

10000 5000

Value after given is after distribution ?

If yes where remaining 500 went ?

Hi,

FR61 is to be used with Former Budgeting. However, from your previous posts I understood, that you are going to use BCS. There, the mechanism of budget management is completely different.

Eli
