dboraslib.o missing??

Former Member

I just installed ACC which is NW 7.11 on Oracle.

Besides the new filesystems (rs6000_64) I see that the system starts/stops even with no dboraslib.o in cdexe.

Did SAP change the way the library is loaded/needed?

Curious.

Hello Sandeep,

I think there is no change. Please, check the alias cdexe to see whether it points to the REAL kernel directory you are using.

Best regards,

Rafael

Hi,

Besides the new filesystems (rs6000_64) I see that the system starts/stops even with no dboraslib.o in cdexe.

The filename is NOT "dboraslib.o". It is "dboraslib.so".

You can see it in kernel directory.

Just find it using below command.

# find / -name dboraslib.*

The correct path is:

/usr/sap/<SID>/DVEBMGS<NO>/exe/dboraslib.so

Regards.

Hi

fyi, the dboraslib.so library can be found on the lib_dbsl_XXX.car file on the marketplace /patches > Entry by application group > Additional Components > SAP Kernel > .... > Oracle

Best regards,

Javier

AIX uses ".o" as notation for shared libraries.
