Server Error in '/OSoft' Application - Invalid UserId

Hello experts,

we have a problem with BPC Web. When some users try to open the BPC-System, they get without any question of username and password the error message which is written above. What can be the reason?

Thanks and regards...

We have changed the authentification options in windows control center.

Hi,

Just check it put whether you have access to BPC. And If you want to login in other UserId then change the setting in IE to prompt for UserId and Password.

Tools, internet options, security, custom level, scroll all the way down, select the appropriate logon option, or set your BPC site in the appropriate zone.

Note which zone appears in the status bar at the bottom of the IE window when users go to your BPCWeb instance (Internet, local internet or Trusted Zone) . Then have users go to IE..Tools...Properties...Security tab. Click on the relevant zone (Internet, Local Intranet or Trusted)..Click "Custom Level"....Scroll to the bottom and choose

"Promp for User ID and Password"

The problem was that a security policy don't allow to change this settings. But we was able to save the username and password for this system in the control center. So it is no problem that there the windows authentification works.

Hi Lober,

First step it will check whether the user who is accessing the BPC exists in BPC Domain (User List).

If does not exists it will through above error.

If exists it will prompt for user ID and Password.

You can try open web page using any existing user on error computer..It will prompt you login screen.

Hope it helps!

Hello,

I would look at the settings in IE. In particular the setting that controls whether the browser will carry over the windows login and passord or will prompt for credentials. It also has to do with the security zones (internet, intranet, etc)
