viewing .RVT document type

Hi Friends,

I want to attach original file with .RVT type. It is not there in the standard. Then I go to DC30 & created the same.

What is to be entered in MIME field. I left it as blank.

I could able to view other all type of documents. i increased the file length for the particular document type also.

Hi Sai,

if you have maintained all the details as per the previous threads in DC30 and even if you have problem in displaying the document then be confirmed that you are using Content server, if you are not using content server then the no. of attachements allowed are only 2.

We are using content server , I ticked KPro for that doc. type. More over this is the onlyoriginal I attached for that document.

Hi Sai,

In DC30 please maintain also the parameter %AUTO% for all three applications types under 'Define workstation application in network' for the created workstation application. In field format please maintain also the value '*.rvt' so the workstation application will be assigned automatically if you add an RVT original in the DMS transactions.

In DC30 in 'Define workstation application in network' defined EAIWeb.webviewer2D.1 %SAP-CONTROL% as I want to used redlining functionality as if DWG type. I tried with %Auto% also.

In mime type enter "application/octet-stream" also add suffic as .rvt

I hope this will resolve the query.

Thanks for the info.

I have added " application/octet-stream" in MIME filed. The same I created for MIME type for Full text search. I entered file suufix for appl. field RVT. In the file format field entered .rvt,.*.

After this all I couldn't able to open the file.
