Parent and Child Opportunity

Dear Friends ,

I have a scenario where business will have parent and child opportunity and one of the way to achieve this through Object relationship's,but when there is a update on child opportunity the updates are not taken place in the reference object of child opportunity(it is the same opp. we assigned to parent).Is there a way to achive to update the child opportunity attached to parent ?or is there any way where i can fulfill the requirement of parent and child opportunity.

Inputs are highly appreciated.

I'm not sure if I understand your requirement, but if you want to reflect some changes from child to parent opportunity you will need to implement some coding and trigger it via event, action or something similar.

Hi Robert ,

You have understood correctly , we have a open option of actions or events to trigger the update .But in some cases child opportunity is assigned to multiple parent opportunities in that case we might have a performance issue.So,in that am planning create a job which triggers and updated the child opportunities based on different validations.
