deletion of default records in SAP HR

Hi,

Our client has deleted the default records of employee groups and subgroups in the system.

I want to know what is the impact of this in the system. Please let me know this urgently.

Thanks in advance.

Defaults are sometimes set in Features, and sometimes in Tables.

What defaults has your Client deleted (in what Feature/Table) ?

Have you tried to look at an Infotype where that Group/Sub-Group is a factor?

Dear Rémi Corriveau,

Sorry for the late reply as i was unable to get an access till now.

The below employee groups are that which come by default. and in development they are deleted and the required entries are added. The respective employee sub groups are also deleted and all these activities are saved in the same Transport Request. Can we move it to production? would it be of any impact?

Are these entries in Table T501?

If so, deleting them could have a major impact on Org.Management (they are used in IT1013 for Object type S), on Personnel Administration (they are used on IT0001 and in many Features), on Time Evaluation and in Payroll Calculation (they are used in many PCRs).

But if you are just starting to configure HCM and that these Employee Groups and Sub-Groups have never been used, then you could probably delete them and replace them by your Custom Values (not using the Standard SAP Codes). What we did during our initial configuration (1998-1999) is that we used the Standard Codes but changed their descriptions (and may have deleted the unrequired ones).

Yes here we are starting the configuration and they have not been used anywhere. New employee groups are created and only they are maintained int he Personnel administration/time evaluation and payroll.

So as per your reply, my understanding is that they dont have any impact.

Thanks for the clarification.

Hello,

Default record will be used when you create infotype records by PA30 or PA40 for new hire/ org. reassignment.

If you delete the default record, the relevant fields will be blank when you create infotype record.

But you can maintain the value directly, so I think there is no impact on this.

Best regards,

Yishun.

The infotype record is not deleted.

The employee subgroups and employee groups from SPRO>IMG are deleted.

does this impact anything?
