Dear All
I am trying to install an ECC6.0 EHP 4 version using a system copy method. During my last step no. 26 - "Check DDIC password", I am facing a error message saying
"Test Logon to SAP system failed. SOLUTION: Make sure that the system is started, that the user DDIC exists and that the password of user DDIC is correct."
My instance is starting properly but however, i am not able to connect through SAP GUI as it gives error message
"SAP System Message : Program SAPMS380"
Checking the sapinst_dev.log, the final lines say

Hi,
so you systemcopied a EHP4 system. One with Basis 7.01 ?
What media did you use for that?
Could it be, that you used the ERP 6.0 SR3 media?
Your kernel might be wrong or too old then.

Hi,
Probably, the password you used in installation step for DDIC is incorrect...
Try to login in "Client 001" with user DDIC and use the Password of DDIC user of source system.
If it fails, try with SAP* and password of source system.
If this is also fails, then activate emergency SAP* user by adding the below parameter in INSTANCE profile at OS level.
Edit the file /sapmnt/<SID>/profile/<SID>_DVEBMGS<NO>_<HOSTNAME>
and add parameter
login/no_automatic_user_sapstar = 0
Restart SAP and login to "Client 001" and "Client 000" using SAP* and "pass" as password.
Change the DDIC user password same as source system in both client "000" and "001".
Then Retry the installation. It will go further...

Have you tried above steps (Activating Emergency User SAP*) ?
REMEBER, YOU NEED TO RESTART THE SAP AFTER MODIFIED PROFILE PARAMETER...
I hope, your database is up and running at this stage...
