Hi All,

We have around 20 Finance interfaces configured in SAP PI AEX 7.5 system. These interfaces belong to finance department of the client. Now we have a requirement to set up around 15 interfaces for the Sales and Marketing department.

IT Architecture team wants to use the existing PI system for setting up these new 15 interface, but we have been asked to demonstrate if we can segregate the user authorizations and roles, governance in PI ESR; ID as Finance department does not want anyone else to touch their code or modify the mappings.

We need to demonstrate that the finance interface developer is not able to edit or modify the objects developed by sales interface developer in PI ESR and ID.

I guess this is a common scenario in any big organization. Did anyone of you encounter this problem,

If yes, then how could be resolve it. Any inputs and help in this regard will be appreciated.

regards

Younus

Hi Mark/All,

I have tried to configure the roles as per the requirements but it is not working.

Do we have any other detail document from SAP which can help us in setting this up.

I have set up two roles and have added the respective SWCVs to which they should have the access.

Also I have created two user ids and assigned these roles to the users. I have also assigned standard developer roles to the users.

When I login with the new users, I am still able to edit the SWCVs and the objects inside them.

Any further help will be highly appreciated.

regards,

Younus
