TRANSPORTS DOUBTS

Hi Team

I am confused while Transporting of Objects.

I have developed Objects in ID and have Transported from DEV to QA. After that some changes have been done to the Objects and some of the Objects have been deleted. Shld i Transport only the Chnges which have been done to theobjects or shld i also Transport the Objects which have been deleted.???

Can we directly Delete the unwanted objects directly in the QA???

please help me out.

    Hi,

If you have done any chnages in development, you need transport this objects once again, then only the chnages will reflect in QA.

yes ,you can deleted unwanted objects in QA.

      Hi Everyone,

Seems like we have deviated from the original question. All i wanted to clarify for the question asked that IR one must be very very careful. ID things are a bit relaxed which all of you are agreeing as well. So I suppose lets finish it at that.

And like I already said I take your point .... but both practices exist and I have seen some really good developers doing it that way.

      regards,

    Hi,

You should transport the deleted objects also if you wish to delete those objects in QA.

Once you activate those deleted objects in QA the unwanted objects will automatically be deleted,no need to to go for explicit deletion.

By this you can maintain the DEV and QA inline with same version.

    cheers,

    Abhishek.
