Hide last 5 digit Bank Account Number for Remuneration Statement (PE51)

Dear all,

We have created a Remuneration Statement using PE51. For the Bank Account No, we have use Table XBT (Bank Transfer) and the Table Field BANKN (Account Number) to show it. Our scenario is, we allow employees to use any bank of their choice for the bank to credit their payroll. This causes some employee to have a maximum of 16 character and a minimum of 9 character for their Bank Account Number.

The question is, our management wanted the last 5 digit of the Bank Account Number hidden where it would only show 'X'. For example: James has a bank account number of '123456789'. In his payslip, it should only show '1234XXXXX'. If he has another bank account number which is '1234567891234567', then in his payslip should show '1234567891XXXXX'.

Hope to hear some feedback and advise. Thank you.
