add field target margin in report C4C

I need to considerate the target margin in a custom report from C4C. I can´t find this field in the data source. Could you help me to find it.

Can you please tell us what are the standard data sources used for your custom report?

Also, if possible please provide additional background on what is your specific business case so we can better assist you in this question.

DRT: The datasource is Sales Target Plan

MG: provide additional background on what is your specific business case:

customer requested to show a key figure (not a standard one) when downloading plan data from the sales plan on sales target planning workcenter. We did some research and found plan data is taking information from CODTARGETPLANVData source ( Sales Target Plan).

We created TargetMargin key figure and assigned to Sales Target Plan data source,and seems that it was assigned, since it appears on the data source, but we question ourselves because even it appears as a key figure, when downloading plan data on sales target planning workcenter, It doesn´t appear.

As an alternative we tried to create a field and assign it to an object related to this data source but seems that no object is related to it, not sure if it´s because it´s a virtual data source. Since this is a standard data source, we cannot modify anything.

We are wondering two things:

One: Is it possible to modify this Virtual Data Source and have the chance to add a custom keyfigure/field? For this question SAP Support said:

A: Currently, the Virtual Data Source can be modified as you've added the Key Figure to it, but these modifications will only be available for use when you join this data source with a standard basic data source, as the virtual data sources shouldn't be consumed alone.

Two: If question 1 is not an option, Is it possible to change the data source that this data plan is taking information from? By this we mean, that it could take the information from custom data source made by us (copy). For this question SAP Support said:

A: Unfortunately, the report added in the sales target planning work center follows a standard layout and, as this report is delivered as standard in this work center, it is not possible to chance from which data source it will extract it's data. This also covers the reason that it is not possible to see the custom key figure on the report extracted, since it follows a standard layout defined in the backend.

Then we search for virtual data source information but couldn´t find much at all, if possible do you have links where we could have access to information about this? We would like to know the difference between a basic data source and a virtual.

Now, we research in the version 1902 if exist some solution to resolved this requirement.
