forecast and consumption

Hi gurus,

I have a material X in two plants A and B

B is a only a sales plant. A is both production and sales plant.

At plant B for material X, I create SOP with forecasting based on past periods consumption value.

I got forecast of 500 for material X for the month of June 2010. Transfer this to DM.

I run MRP at plant B. I use sp key 40 for material X with supplying plant as A.

Now I get the requirement of 500 for this material at A.

The material is supplied from A to B through STO. Will this be again booked as consumption at plant A?

I create SOP based on forecast at A plant also. Here I am under the impression that the consumption values of

historical period is only that of sales done from this plant A. Am I right? Or the issues to STO is also booked as consumption?

In that case the forecast goes wrong.

What can I do to avoid the issues to STO being booked as consumption?

Thanks and Regards,

Raghu
