how to change price determination form blank to 2 on the material master?

Hi expert,

I had a difficult problem:

Material ledger is active in our company Normally, in material master data accounting view 1, we always set price determination 2 and price control V. Price determination 2 is set default if creating a material master by entering no price determination.

Today, my Key user came accross a prblem: In our company, for batch processing of material master, we made a mistake that price determination were set blank (neither 2 or 3, In MBEW table, field MLAST is blank) when inputting material master. all data were imported without error warnings. But ,acturally, all materials' price determination in accounting view 1 was set Blank! This is a big problem that we can not release standard price or do any other price changing~~~.

I have used CKMM to try to change price determination. But it failed: it can not identify this situation because old price determination must be set a word rather than blank in CKMM.

I don't know any other solutions to change price determination from Blank into 2.

Kindly check in OMX1 whether price determination binding in valuation area is ticked marked or not.

If yes the system will not allow to change the price determination rule.

I have the same problem with a type material, the material ledger is active but the price determination were set blank.

I already checked the OMX1 transaction... and all configurations of ML and type material and apparently is ok.

Has anyone knows the solution?

(maybe with applying a program or SAP note).

Dear All, I Have Answer For You to Change Price Determination.

Open CKMM, Input the material, plant, and valuation class, after that, fill the old price Determination and fill the new price determination, and then just untick for "test run" and execute. After that, click Yes, and your Price Determination will change.

I have the same problem. Raised a ticket with SAP. CKMM does not allow the 'Old' price determination to be blank

I have searched for a way to change it, so far no luck. The issue comes up when you create a material prior to activating the material ledger. The price procedure in Accounting 1 tab of the Material master will be blank and not editable. Activation of material ledger (OMX1) cannot be reversed once activated, so you cannot go back to change it.

We have this same problem and are trying to change ML price determination for material with no transaction history from Blank to '2'.

CKMM does not work  - material cannot be selected.

Did anybody find a solution for this issue?

Dear Saurav,

We use MLHELP_REPAIR_TABLES and the problem was fixed.

For us, this problem is faced when we do changes in MARC table with MM17 transaction.

Hi

Check if you have program MLHELP_REPAIR_TABLES.

Usually these corrections are carried out by SAP. SAP recommnends caution while executing ML repair transactions and these Programs are reserved for SAP Help Desk Consultants.

If no transactional data exist for the material, it shall be enough to manual update system table MBEW and CKMLHD.
