Material movements between Storage Locations - effect on MSEG

I am a BW professional with a question in MM - please excuse me if it seems trivial, I am new to this.

When a material moves from storage location to storage location within one plant how does that affect MSEG?

Is the posting in MSEG for that Storage location reversed out and a new posting is made for the new storage location? Is there a movement type that identifies this kind of movement?
