Accessing the Business Objects Enterprise Repository?

Former Member

I am a new crystal user.

I opened the sample report, custom function.rpt to review the custom functions demo and the Business Objects Enterprise dialog box appeared I keyed in my server password, but it was not accepted. Another window appeared the message was "The system server can be contacted, but there is no Central Management Server running at port 6400.u201D In searching, Crystal Reports Online Help under "Accessing the Business Objects Enterprise Repository.u201D It says the Repository is set up when you install. You don't have to do anything additional before you use the repository. Did we install it incorrectly? Where does the Business Objects Enterprise dialog box get the user name and password? How do I set up my password so I can reach the repository?

You have to have Business Object Enterprise or Crystal Reports Server installed on a server on your network. The instilation will create the repository.

Hello,

You need to install the BOE client tools. You should be able to see the Business Objects Folder structure under your Start -> Programs options.

Thanks.
