chart dates

I have a chart that is grouped by a date

when the month and yaer display it sorts by month then year

01/2005

01/2006

01/2007

02/2005

02/2006

i would like it to sort by

01/2005

02/2005

03/2005

year then the month

any ideas?

i concatenate the month and year

totext(field),'yyyy/MM')

and it is sorting properly now, but i want it to display

mm/yyyy

but sort by year
