Data Migration Cockpit in SAP MDG

Dear Experts,

Can SAP S/4Hana migration cockpit be used to migrate data into SAP MDG? We are planning to migrate financial objects (Profit Centers, Cost Centers, Chart of Accounts) into MDG and then replicate to S/4 Hana. What is the most straightforward migration approach? Data Import Framework from MDG, or Data Migration Cockpit?

There are plenty of option available. You have DMC in MDG and S4 both side or you can upload in MDG and sync to S4. Another option we did in our project is to maintain the CC-PC-GL in S4 config client and move the data through transport in all environment which help to keep the data sync and once u are ready in MDG u can pull in staging table from active tables and move the change from MDG to S4.

Hi,

S/4HANA migration cockpit cannot be used if you want to load data for systems outside S/4HANA. It is part of S/4HANA and is only intended to load data to the same system.

I can only provide perspective from S/4HANA migration cockpit not from MDG . Sorry for half the answer!
