MRP run Problem

Hi

when we run the MRP for the materila with MD03 transaction it works fine , create the Purchase requisition for the material but if the same materila run with the background job RMMRP000 at that time it directly create the Purchase order , i have checked the MRP screen paramenter but i couldnt get reason ?

what settings i need to check . the background job is standared programe RMMRP000.

Please help me out in this .

Dear ,

In Standard SAP -MRP system will not generate Purchase Order but it generates Production Order (Sales Order base MRP-MD50 with planning strategy 82 ). In you case , you need to check the Background programme which u are running for MRP run and also check the Material Master Purchasing View -Automatic PO is activated or not .

Please Check the Variant in MDBT which u have created with there paraemters set up .In MDBT , you need to create a variant with following indicator :

1.Processing indcator -NETCH

2.Create PR : 1 ( It is also can be controlled through OPPQ-MRP Group-Creation Indicator 1 if u maintained any MRP Group in material master )

3.Schedule Line : 1-No Schedule Line .

3.Create MRP lList : 3-No MRP List

4.Planning Mode : 3-Delete and re-create

5.Scheduleing : 2 -LTS

Please check and re-confirm

Hi,

Do you mean to say that at the time of background job system creates planned order (system never creates purchase or production order or you have created any purchase order already) instead PR.

For MD01 or for background job the creation indicator is picked up from the MRP group.

So execute T code OPPR. Enter your plant, click on maintain.

In the dialogue box enter the relevant MRP group & click on maintain.

In the necxt screen, click on radio buton 'Creation indicator'.

Maintain 1 i.e. create PR against 'Create PR' & save.

Maintain this for every relevant MRP group & you will have PR after background run.

Hi

in back groung job it wil run automatically as per your setting ( time and period) as per your requirment).in SM36 you can check your plant setting.
