System asking for storage location in case of Asset GR,

dear all,

In our case system is asking for Storage Location in case of Asset GR, though PO was account assigned.

I checked for the screen setting, but not getting any clue where to find that entry to make depressed.

Mandatory storage location in goods receipts for account-assigned purchase orders

I think you are in the Case 2: If your material does not make any value update in the plant the storage location is then mandatory. Please, read the complete information in the blog for further details.

Field selection group---> Basic Data item -> Storage Location->'optional'

Hi,

Are u using material code for assets or its a text based purchase, if material code is there (although non valuated / qty managed) it will still require sloc as system needs to store the qty in stock

Yes, we are using mat code.

But we are assigning act assignment in PO, so in my view as its account assigned, it shud be directly issued to plant and shud nt ask for storage location.

if material is valuated and quantity update tick is there in the material type configuration it will always ask for Sloc.
