SAP Analytics Cloud - BW Hierarchies in SAC

Hi All,

We are using a BW Import connection to SAC.

Is there a way we can leverage the existing hierarchies of BW InfoObjects in SAC.

When creating the model on top of the BW InfoProvider/Query we are selecting the hierarchy object of the InfoObject. But the Dimension does not get the hierarchy relationship automatically like it does for BPC Import connection.

Requesting assistance on this.

are you using the Live connectivity or are you using imported data ?

Hello Rajat,

what is being displayed ? You should be able to bring in the existing hierarchies even as part of the Import connection.

Hi Ingo,

I created a BW query using Profit Center as Dimension. Profit Center Hierarchy is defined in BW.

When I use this query to create a Public dimension in SAC and select the Hierarchy object with the drill level, the table displayed in the next page where i get 3 columns -> 1. ID, 2. Description, 3. Parent ID.

Here i have to manually define the relation between the ID and Parent column.

Is this the way to pull BW hierarchies to SAC or is there some other way.

Please let me know your views on this.
