Experts:
1) I did SSO for Windows based SAP systems many times to enable window users directly getting into ABAP stack by double-clicking the ABAP system icon. This SSO solution does not need to buy any software.
2) I also used Siteminder and ClearTrust for SSO on UNIX based SAP JAVA systems.
3) Now I wonder for UNIX based SAP ABAP systems, whether we can configure the SSO without buying other software -- like what we did in 1)? I remember that the install guides for all UNIX based SAP systems, SSO is never mentioned. Therefore I guess
the answer is "NO".
BTW, we have LDAP for all window users.
Thanks for your experience.
Regards!

From that whitepaper make sure that you understand SAP support on this - Note 150380 Is MIT Kerberos 5 supported for use with SNC ?
It has the usual SAP ambiguous statements but you can understand for the most part what they are trying to say.
