How to display report in 2 columns format?

I want to take an existing report and split the Group Header/Details section into two columns format per page. The records would display vertically down in the first column, then continue on to the second column to the right. Is that possible?

Here's a link to a sample report I did WAY back when... It uses 2 sub reports to create the columns.

It's pretty straight forward, but if you have any questions, just ask.

HTH,

Jason

have you played around with "Format with Multiple Columns"?

To make them horizontal, try the following.

Right click on your DETAIL section and choose Section Expert. Check the box for Format with Multiple Columns. This should add a LAYOUT tab, where you can specify the width of each column. If your are doing letter portrait, you'll probably want to go for about 4.000 inches for width.

Make sure your detail entries combined are less than 4.000 inches in width.

I hope this helps.
